By applying a unique strengths-based approach grounded in Albert Bandura’s theories of self-efficacy, FLE has helped hundreds of families transform their circumstances of poverty and marginalization. Staff work closely with each family to help them develop self-awareness, take personal responsibility, and feel empowered to meet stress and challenges, set and achieve goals, and control their future. This approach has proven to be effective in breaking the cycle of dependency and motivating participants to overcome obstacles that stand in the way of them realizing their full potential.
