FLE opens a new Community Food Pantry for families in need.
FLE begins a COVID-19 response community health outreach.

FLE joins the Village-led Hartford Family Center Network.

FLE introduces the self-efficacy approach based on the work of Albert Bandura.
2008
FLE welcomes Candida Flores as the new CEO.
2004
FLE begins to provide home visiting services using the Parents as Teachers model under a multi-year contract from the State of CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC) as part of a network of 40 sites statewide. 
1997
Family Life Ministries becomes Family Life Education.
1995
Parkville Family Center created with support of Hartford Foundation for Public Giving's Brighter Futures Family Center initiative to meet neighborhood families' needs and young childrens' success in school and beyond.
1987
Family Life Education is created by Rev. Karen Barker Duncan, a Yale Divinity School intern, through a Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Grant to provide services to pregnant and parenting Puerto Rican teens in Hartford’s Frog Hollow neighborhood.
