VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN!

You can support life-changing work with children, youth and families!

According to Elaine Cartland, ESOL volunteer from West Hartford,    "I want the students to be able to function well in English, so that they can be independent and be able to solidly communicate questions or concerns to their child's teacher, to a doctor, police officer, or even their next door neighbor."

"Command of the language gives you courage to communicate."

Volunteers are essential to the program as they work with staff to carry out the many services provided by Family Life. Volunteers play many roles in the agency each one important. We are always open to create new volunteer opportunities according to the gifts, talents and interests of volunteers.

Family Life Education is just over the line in Hartford in the Parkville neighborhood with plenty of safe off-street parking. Our facility is a former school with large, bright, open classrooms for the parent and child education sessions we offer.
