Thank you for your support of the 2011 Gala, “A Place to Play, A Place to Grow, A Place of Hope.” We again exceeded the previous record for numbers attending and funds raised- a portion of which will go towards the new Children’s Gym/Wellness Center.

This year Ashley, a current client, shared how she felt before she came to FLE: “All alone in the dark, can’t see, can’t hear, confused, and scared. Is this the right path? Do I turn around and just stop?”
She shared her experience of homelessness at 15, kicked from house to house, having a young child and being pregnant. Then…
“I joined a program that helped me stay motivated with my goals. Family Life Education is an organization that helps young moms to establish and complete their goals in life, making the impossible, possible. I joined the group meetings, where I interacted with others and really opened my eyes to see another point of view in life. We helped one another out as if we had known each other for many years; we were a family. The staff motivated me to continue striving for more goals each day. Staying in school was not a question to FLE. They want us to become empowered, self-motivated, responsible individuals that can see life from many different angles and still continue to go further.”
