Calling All First-time Dads!

The Nurturing Families program is actively recruiting men who are fathers - including stepfathers or boyfriends taking on the role of fathers- for the first time, in the lives of children in Greater Hartford.
Every child deserves to be raised within a nurturing environment and fathers play a key role in this process. Education and life skills begin in the home and we are here to help it happen.
With resources from the National Fatherhood Initiative, we offer help and support for expecting and new fathers. The program is completely voluntary and free and includes weekly or monthly home visits, support and referrals for education, employment, health, basic needs and more.

Welcome to Family Life Education
|
"My name is Vicenta. Maybe you never heard my name but I have you in my mind, because thanks to you and all the people who work at Family Life, my family and I have many opportunities in Hartford." July 2009 Since 1987, Family Life Education has helped hundreds of families in greater Hartford change their lives through education, case management and outreach. Your critical ongoing support helps youth and young families break out of the cycle of poverty, violence, child abuse, and hopelessness. Family Life Education is proud to serve this community and is hopeful looking to the future in partnership with you. Your financial, material and personal involvement are key in helping to provide support, direction and advocacy for families to meet basic needs; for adults, teens and children to become educated and to learn the critical skills for building stronger, healthier communities.
